01 Nov Paul Finishes the Marathon – Over 142,000 Meals Donated!!
Paul Jarzombek – Chief Operating Officer at LR INTERNATIONAL finished the Chicago Marathon on Sunday October 9 in 6 hours and 9 minutes. This was the culmination of 9.5 months of training with over 1200 miles logged since January. The hot weather caused a slower than expected finish time, but crossing the finish line in any length of time was always the primary goal.
In addition LRI shipped a 40 foot ocean container to Haiti Last week for the orphanage we were supporting in this run. With our partner, Kids Around the World of Rockford, IL, we shipped 3 playgrounds, 10 pallets of food containing 142,560 meals, some tools and used computers to the orphanage and school in Haiti.
